editors everyone by Charlie Morganthat shouldn't be in there,
take it out, put this in.
don't say it that way...
why, up here we say it this way.
don't put away the scissors, yet.
cut your throat before you do.
and don't try for cleanliness,
mankind is dirty anyway.
but you can leave me alone,
because a monkey types for me.
and besides, i've bathed. 06/05/2010 Posted on 06/05/2010 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan

| Posted by Rula Shin on 06/05/10 at 05:03 PM Yes, there is always an 'authority' for how to do it best. One conforms so easily in order to belong. I like this one, a clear revolt. |

| Posted by George Hoerner on 06/05/10 at 08:14 PM Great write Charlie. I've only had my poetry looked at once by 3 different MFA's and only one had anything positive to say. But I try to take all, the good and the bad, with a grain of salt. I was at least twice their age so they knew more about writing and I believe I knew more about life. Again, great write! |
