don't put away the scissors, yet.
cut your throat before you do.

and don't try for cleanliness,
mankind is dirty anyway.

but you can leave me alone,
because a monkey types for me.

and besides, i've bathed.

Yes, there is always an 'authority' for how to do it best. One conforms so easily in order to belong. I like this one, a clear revolt.

Great write Charlie. I've only had my poetry looked at once by 3 different MFA's and only one had anything positive to say. But I try to take all, the good and the bad, with a grain of salt. I was at least twice their age so they knew more about writing and I believe I knew more about life. Again, great write!
