The old man sweeps.
He sweeps the sidewalk
and the stairs.
In his tan pants
and tan shirt
he sweeps everything
then collects it all
in a pan.

So intricate and precise
it's never looked better.

He dumps the collections
into the sewer
but some debris
remains on the top.
