Powerless is you
when coming across
a sitting pigeon.

You can't tell
if it is sleeping or injured
give it a stare
and it's merely resting
a dirty look you will get.

If it's injured
you feel for that pigeon
the same bird that annoyed you
when eating your lunch
out in the park
either way there's little
you can do.
