Yes, one must fight to plant a garden free of "weeds". One must fight the happenings all around him, out of his control. The conflict is the desire for a beautiful potato in a beautiful garden as against the will of the weeds, fighting for their own survival, fighting for their share of nutrients in the soil, and water and sunlight. It seems to me a beautiful metaphor for our very lives.
