If the Devil liked it
by Linda Fullerif the Devil took it
under his care
and, after all, the Devil
is all-powerful in his realm
making all the rules
posting his covenants
conducting his minions to
shovel coal and suffer interminably
compelling his tenants to
shuffle paper and stumble prey
to stifling boredom
directing his players
to watch mobius hours
of auto racing, golf and home
improvement programming;
for hell is customized to the individual…
but if the Devil liked it
a snowball might
have a chance in hell.
