The Pair of Us, No-bodies

by Cristy M.

Two people, with
None, without

The burden of this head
and its qualified hostesses
is all too-much for the every-day

and I don't want to be in
this place, without him
and this place is all-the-heres
all-the-theres
all-the-every places, without him.

These two of me with him make three
and we are a party of would-be lovers,
hostesses revelling in the occupation
of occupation.

But, in the every-place where
we are nothing,we are
hostesses without a guest,
would-not-be lovers without
purpose

Like now,
like how we are in this place,
wherein we cease to be
when were are not made we
by he.

There are settings wherein
he watches--with
skeptical eye and wondering
of strategy,
hands upon our face

that is where we
flutter our eyelids
that is where we sigh

in every place fantastic
made into three.

Author's Note: 3. It's the magic number. Oh yeah it is.

The flow in this is phenomenal. I am at a loss for words to type. I love this.

Yes 3 in fact "3" is a very special number even in mathematics. I love that you've used it in a poem. Take care m'lady and be well! g
