Mimi, Pooh Daddy and Evan

by Maude Curtis

I sit and watch my true love
playing with our great grandson.
Down on the floor nose to nose,
babbling and cooing to each other.

Pooh Daddy has a bucket on his head
and Evan thinks that's very funny.
I grab my camera and join them there
as they both turn with a silly grin.

He's growing up so fast
as he tries so hard to crawl;
reaching for that elusive toy
and finding a big nose instead.

Our time with him is so special,
for soon he'll be to old
to laugh at silly faces and sounds.
Please don't grow up too soon.

Mimi, Evan and Pooh Daddy;
we are all three of a kind,
cooing, laughing and drooling
while enjoying our special time.
