Searching through Athens for You by Kimberly BowenAres flashes light against glossy eyes
A moving motion of reflections in the dark
A chiseled face, through wide-screen plasma
Rather than rock, his vigorous peak of life
Displays wild hearts leaping for love
Even Aphrodite didn’t stand a chance
Dionysus’s cup weighs heavy in the hand
A sloshing discord of madness
A long-haired youth, pretty in the face
Pleasure is the central chase
Send a wink this way, festivities have been made
Astraeus brings forth the dusk
The perfect silence of every day
Simple beauty of dawning stars
Eradicating the darkness, blocking out the night
Simply deity over such beautiful things
Surrounded, surrounded
Calling out to Achelois for a purge of pain
Adicia to wage against the injustice of a broken spirit
To Algea, Alala, and, even, Artemis one turns
No matter the gods or goddesses
Nymphs, Naiads, Dryads, or Nereids
The distractions or distances
I still look for you. 05/10/2010 Author's Note: hm.
