her perfume arrived 5 minutes
before she actually did
it wafted about the room
cloying and masking
everything around
I choked, the she sauntered in
and proceeded to smoke.
I spoke
but it was never with her
at one point she stood near to me
though it was not dear to me
just 10 minutes later
I was forced to leave
in this you can believe
I was lost within the putrid fragrances
of her life
