Tunnel Vision Eyes by Jared OrlandoThe pads beneath my feet
Are cement, cracked and
Heavy each step pounds
Like an earthquake, alley
Way footsteps in the midst
Of natural disaster, ongoing
Fleeting, returning narrow
Passages through the eyes
Of a needle on the brain
And it’s just like me to trip
Within the breezeway wind
Sending my face falling to
The floor with leaflets on
Fire scattering beyond my
Tunnel vision, my everyday
My everything turned to
Blazing words turned to ash
Turned into dust through alley
Way footsteps in the midst
Of natural disaster, ongoing
Fleeting, returning narrow
Passages through the eyes
Through tunnel vision eyes
