Living in the Story by Danny WashingtonTo people that think about themselves
only within a narrative narrated by God.
If he is real through belief, then so to are we.
From the first black artists on prime time TV,
to the jury of all the people that allowed it to be;
we need a minute. We have one.
The pilot not knowing, on the students table,
I've found him guilty of grave competition.
He might reach the height of riot police.
I'm invested in the future, and in the future being here,
and I'm joined now by the need to be British.
A man dressed as intellectual, chasing thoughts.
For people who have been difficult.
For the poor that found themselves a voice.
Within the religious hum is an applied war.
Follow or not, believe or not.
Live in the story and embrace the ending.
