could be something like this

by Charlie Morgan

i await a crown, a dog will bring it;
my dog thinks i am King, so it will be he.
once more i see ether as Karma, i shine.

like liquid lead i roll through a day, a week;
lapping each yesterday with a grip on tomorrow.
i break ahead, cinders fly from my endeavor.

let loose at an age that all is benevolent; safe.
a happy bojangle-hitch lets me dance with the day.
until i zip it up; call in the dogs; the hunt's over.

that day will be a big day of smiles for me; wonder?
about namesakes, lovers, loved ones; blood-kin.
a choice will ease over the knoll of life; settle.

each will see a sunset; each will repeal no law.
yet differences are the clover of life, the flora.
all on this green/blue ball sucking to keep us alive.

inure me to the inurn, then leave as i apply to Heaven;
it shouldn't take long as He knows my heart, my soul.
not confident just humble, i take leave of my body.

Author's Note: my use of the word "sucking" is gravity. ease up.
