You enjoy talking to me
and yet we never talk.
You said you like to date
and we're never together.

Oh wait, you do like to date
It's just not with me.
Another so-called futile exercise
In my self imposed abject futility.

My talking times are done
as my dating days are gone.
I wish that I could begin to tell you
as to what indeed has gone wrong.
