one elderly autumn eve by Rhyana Fisherhanging hugely in the gloomy dusk
the settled sun x-rays a fossil embryo
in illuminated cream,
periwinkle skeleton outlined.
a million or so years circling earth unhatched
in thrall to gravity
and i
still /feel/ old. 04/17/2010 Author's Note: a found scrap.

Posted by David Maurice on 11/15/12 at 07:02 PM I read this as 'autumn eye'
love the timeless feeling in the ending, how no matter your thoughts, the feelings are always behind in a great rush and roar you can't really change. |
