after retiring

by Charlie Morgan

my friend told me that in order to move that
"you've got macrocosms to haul out to the klatch."
to that i said 'huh.? he just smiled, "stuff,"...
i said yeah but micro...cosms, not macro.

a trash bin is a new ride in my office Midway;
you can only play if you're retiring.
your job: throw pieces of yourself away.
serious inquiries only. no tire-kickers.

he wrote me back and said i was right.
i wrote him back and told him i knew it.
my life's work lumped in two trash bins;
quite a feat to achieve. the golden ring.

now, where's that grandson? gonna swallow
his head, after filling it with me. ahhhh.

Charlie- you'll be ok. Keep active; write- take your Grandson and show him the world. ENJOY life. Retirement can be good- you've worked a lifetime- go enjoy! You deseve it!
