Pale Blue

by V. Blake

it seems to me that death
is basically just boredom
experienced recursively,
and the main distinction
between god and science
is the mathematics.

so, the way i figure it,
a clever sense of humor
is all we need to derive
our prophets from engineers,
and the main distinction
between Christ and Sagan
could be the artwork.

beautiful work. flows really nicely, my favourite line "between god and science is the mathematics." you have great talent!

Nice write Vince. But I think math incorporates God. It has both zero and infinity, which is nothing and everything at the same time. I love Sagan's painting of the universe but I also love very early Russian iconography. Again well done!

Another one straight down the road at about six hundred miles per hour. Well played.

"could be the artwork." ... yeah, that's brilliant.

as always, it's up to the beholder; this assume said beholder is able to think things through on his/her own. If that's not the case...well, that's a whole other can of fish bait.

This reminds me of "The poet and the clown"... xxx

Math, the universal language. This really packs a punch with so few words. Nicely executed.
