Nenuphar Synthesis (The Lotus And The Lily)

by Jasmine Sword-Mann

i.
silver euphoria paints
scattered moonbeams
in repose across water;
silent garden

ii.
wind's breeze wafts a fan
forms ripples on water's surface
that the moon refracts,
spills sugar waves to lap against a
lone water lily

iii.
as soft lily blooms fragrance
and unfolds in layers,
skin is unearthed bare and pale,
with grace, sinew arched;
lain in a bed of hands

iv.
hair tangled, grass entwined,
lips sweep skin moist;
he leaves his scent on her neck,
echoes pleasured hands,
cups firmly her hips,
spills his sugar waves to rest
inside her grove

So beautifully written, so sensual and erotic. The flow from flower to woman is seamless. You have captured the essence of that exquisite moment and all the beauty leading up to it.

Subtle. The simile is unparalleled.

IV is my favorite of the bunch. The imagery is quiet and expertly captured. The form of this is just terrific, too.
