THOSE TEARS by W. Mahlon PurdinDark times
I was on attack.
Made such mistakes.
Wish I could go back
To unsay and undo
What I said and did.
To resay and redo
Quickly close the lid.
I would cage that lion
There's no doubt.
Sheathe the claws
Tear those memories out.
I can't, though I would.
It's done now for years.
Doesn't matter what I could.
There are those tears. 12/15/2009 Posted on 03/23/2010 Copyright © 2026 W. Mahlon Purdin
