A Memory

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

all I am all I can be
All we are both you and me
all we were all we'll see
each and every breath we breathe
here and now and wait and see
all of this
just memory

Today tomorrow next week will be
after this
a memory
thinly veiled in flesh are we
much more than only what we see
within without even in our dreams
all only pieces
of memory

Tis only this
just wait and see
for I for you for her for he
all our lives
and death it seems
all for this
just memories

So spend them wise
for days fly thee
live your life gloriously
dream and dance let love fly free
before it is
just this
you'll see
we all
live only
in memories

Author's Note: Me thinks this poem to be anorexic, I must force it to feed...it needs to flesh out a bit.

this is lovely, it rolls off of my mind like a melody.

You have a knack with rhythm and rhyme that smoothly lifts the poem's message.
