Home Unspoken Again by Michael DefriesI: Home
In the wild we watch
night come on like the
dark vast space covers
blankets of our sound.
Timed passion releases
moments of forgotten
lust, as skin touches over
silk caresses of smooth;
Orbits of motion collect
glides like stratospheres
moving emotions to our
playful precipice.
Aroused flowers open-
full; pollinating spring-
waters drop dew, finally,
settling in the morning.
II: Unspoken
Spatial bliss permeates
rows of soldiered stalks
smothering damp bases;
trying to sip moisture.
Nature has its price; death;
endless in the portrayals
of timed romance;
seeking harmony at sunrise.
Balance makes whispered
chaos; sounds awakening;
lust in the form of edges
withdrawn, building in quiet-
Urgency, developing ears;
black night covers empires
while lost; huddle together
in the quiet corners.
III: Again
Motion collecting friction,
alike the atmosphere;
panting in resonance,
as the tall grass speaks,
Waving in gravity;
Passes flow across the pond
sending ripples crumbling,
erecting youth and relics.
Tempos decrease in frequency;
slowing to trickling rivers
passing over the eclipse;
moons arise; in phases of oasis
Entering the forever; foreign;
Thumb-shadow pressing
purpose on the Earth, our
fervent; praying that swans
Return; to the lake whence
once they came|; pretty;
as their feathers ruffle;
fluid, in their water. 02/01/2010 Posted on 03/14/2010 Copyright © 2025 Michael Defries

| Posted by Bet Yeldem on 03/14/10 at 06:32 PM love the layout of this piece and the contect of all three sections, but the standout for me is "sending ripples crumbling / erecting youth and relics" -- that line has a vice grip! well done. |
