waiting for snow in arizona.
longing because you grew up knee deep
in the comforting angelic white
of frozen condensation.

i'll take you to the mountains once, show you the bitter freeze of
arizonian snow, harsh in it's misplacement
unaware of the troubles it causes the
desert rats who do not know how to
stay warm when the air does not
provide this luxury.
you've heard me curse winter's discomfort
you've scorned me for it.

yet in it's innocence, i can see
your point.
