Just In by Kim Thevenotmy power is meager
compared to that you wield
with your undercurrents
stirring up pasts i am unaware of
beneath the pulse of your preacher eyes.
I can barely stand still
blown apart by the gentle whipping
of the breeze you blow apart.
However, I am standing
above and beneath your hurricane
blistering me with desire to
be allowed to be seduced farther in.
There is an eye of calm
precious air sits still
holding it's breathe with anticipation
that is hiding beneath the vivid colors
painted by the vibrant
sun, that remembers me
A young innocent girl
attempting to grasp at the strings of sanity
while looking into the hurricane's eye.
It passes, as usual
and I am left utterly exhausted
black and blue from the fight
against the torrential winds that
I adore and plead to destroy me. 02/23/2008 Posted on 03/07/2010 Copyright © 2024 Kim Thevenot
