Baby's Breathe by Kim ThevenotI ponder all the possibilities of your regrets
The Ins and Outs of things you wished you'd done differently
All the possible ways to save me
To keep me close, to keep me breathing back your own breathe
I immediately feel self conscious
Of the conceitedness this applies in me.
A trait that I do not want to be associated
With my sad sweet self.
I heard a sound and it struck the right chord.
For hours it resonates
Pulling me back and forth
Between shared regrets.
Forget me nots.. forget I said it.
Baby's breathe, let me say I did not breathe back. 03/08/2008 Posted on 03/07/2010 Copyright © 2024 Kim Thevenot
