eyelashes, long and curved
beneath heavy brows
a synthesis of beauty
and masculinity

hair that collects
around his navel
soft like
velvet

his skin
an intangible feeling of home;
a fireplace or
warm laundry

i am in the creases
behind his knees
in the dark shadows
of his armpit
the soft moisture
of his mouth

his chest rising
and sinking
in a tranquil tempo
his mouth slightly
agape
so much peace
in his exhales
a subtle presence
in these sheets
