balancing [2-28-2010]

by Ava Blu

february
oh how you move me, how you twist my inner self how you gather me inside your days and let me breathe you in let me soak in the snow let me give up october to keep you around
february
you are my first love you are my balanced life
but you disappointed me and i am falling from the weight and i was not able to give everything you needed
and i am left on my knees searching for the scales once again.

Author's Note:
she [february] has always been my favorite
with october a close second

and now i ask myself whywhywhy.........

(i may never write another poem-a-day series again)

I sure as hell hope you do. The journey through the twenty-eight poems written this much has shown not only growth as a writer and person but a clear indication of just how much you can tackle in your work in terms of style and imagery. This is the perfect climax to the series, and I hope you come to appreciate that at some point. That second stanza doesn't have to work very to take my breath away.
