Exception of Drunken Courage by Christopher ShinMy head searches
the meaning for
the silence in
lyrics.
I drink the wine,
as I dream about
the past.
Because the past
is the only thing
that seems so real.
Only to find that
modern days seem
to be heartache.
A pain that lingers
with a bittersweet kisses.
I lie to myself,
as the stars fade
into raven flights in
the morning lighting.
I try to drag myself
each day as I try
to find a meaning
to velvet shawl,
but only find countless
disappointment.
I sulk in me,
and it's always me.
Alone in the empty
streets of drunken
courage.
When danger looms
around the corner,
but I'm a fool amongst
the dazzling exception. 02/27/2010 Posted on 02/28/2010 Copyright © 2025 Christopher Shin
