Swept Away

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

I am always only
just
a breath away
from decay
delusions of time
enough
swept away
under the rug
there it lies
lies to us
whispers of time
we have
not
enough
before we
our dust
lying under the rug
pulled so darkly over
our delusions of time
swept away
by death

"we have not enough before we our dust." Missing a word? Or did you mean "before us?" The rest is lovely.

"before we our dust"? Should this be "before we are dust"? Otherwise really great write indeed. I love the flow and simplicity as well as the connection of each line to the next. Mortality is something we so often try to rid ourselves of, but time and the rest of the elements never permit us to escape it. You captured that here but not in a cliche. Instead your words are a fresh new take in the thought. Good job.
