Lost Home by Michael DefriesEndless summers await; your grain
rising and falling, with elapsed
capturing, like picturesque films.
Moments seem lost when tempos stop
pendulum-swings, from my metronomic
meter; forgotten; as well, my rhythm
disingenuous as sullen.
Timid daisies reach pollination as fuzz
sends out soldiers into the forestscapes
folded-in-air, faerie-dust sprinkles mood
while coalescing in delayed awakening.
Trees bark orders at close-by rivers
telling them to feed-short; overflowing,
engulfing; dim but shallow-bends mimic
creatures across its glassy face.
Secrets transpire across glazed wind
the way empires unfold into ant hills
caving their way to queens request
or bees driven honey-mad for nectar.
Bears seek refuge in wild Alaskan
as salmon plays till polar entropy
pivots an up-stream caveat and
traverses stop; travelers dead.
Moony skies harness blue,
with shades of aubergine
translucent as incandescence
blends erotic with sensual sighs.
Release encompassing; I do not know
now, this place as home; without you. 02/21/2010 Posted on 02/24/2010 Copyright © 2025 Michael Defries
