Angels Despise Falling by Michael DefriesCrimson spills from opalescent breaches; white
wings deserving; but only when God permits it
these angels brazen with armor, emblazoned with
fervor; ambition sets in; aside casts doubt; cast-
down whole armies; crushed by heaven.
Despite tumbling over a few rocks; form takes...
-precedence - residing in the last remains of hollow
-ed be thy name, in the kingdom come; to arrive
beforehand would insult his majesty, customarily
speaking; truths are untold as twin edges cut both.
Fallen in hell; are angels in heaven remembering-
bold; fervent with excruciation; fires take hold,
diminish the ever-last with ever-embodiments
as subservients of pain; the never-ending; pain
wishing to be both angel; and human alike.
This resolve is the trumpet Gabriel plays
winning all but the court of heaven's approval
God laughs; humor-restricting with bellows
of triumphant responsiveness, Earth trembles
as this occurs and angels despise this;
watching over mankind; plateaus transpire.
The fallen placate God with acts of kindness,
bridging worlds as transformation appears;
God patiently watches; laughing...
still-triumphantly, with fervor; 02/24/2010 Posted on 02/24/2010 Copyright © 2024 Michael Defries
