Soul Searching

by Joan Serratelli

After much
soul searching,
I have come to
the accept the fact
that the root
of all my problems
...is me

I cannot blame
anyone else
I lack guts
my inner will
is strong
but inside,
I am a hopeless
creampuff
I look for
acceptance
and for this
I have sacrificed
my soul

...after i read my rather cryptic static[i make myself sick sometimes] what i was saying was too much to put in here, and yet i wanted to say how this poem is a very-thing prototype of the lil' thingee inside us that kicks in every once and while and we need to just let it go and see... there's still a lot of "stuff"--such as line-breaks[glorious in this piece, you should get a standing 0] annnnnnnnnnd, don't stumble when i say this: no poem is ever finished. is there an echo in here? no poem is ever finished. look for nothing hidden in that last sentence. it is rife with wisdom [ i didn't say it.] and though that pierces meownheart, still i believe that no story, poem etc. is ever finished...another story altogether. peace, woodstock...
