Spring has come early

by Richard Colinson

April showers have come early
With rain between the brightness
I make marginal footsteps
On a path among green growths

When confronted with new hardware
That simple old arrangement
Of those same old components
I bend them to a new purpose

In the whirring of the log files
As they sail through the terminal
Something stirs

Author's Note: It felt a bit like spring today, though that could well be for reasons beside the weather.

(Can't believe I started a poem with 'April'.)

Two 'betweens' in the first stanza. The second needs to be replaced but with what I do not know.

Thanks Therese!

Perhaps "twixt" instead of "between"...or even use "a path among green growths." Good to know that some of us are touched with a bit of the Spring sensations, even if weather belies the truth of such feelings!
