A Valentine's Kiss by Michael DefriesIt wasn't the way you touched my hand
That made me swoon, or the sweet kiss
I placed on your valentine rouge lips.
It was the fruity taste of your cherry gloss
Across the way the wind shifted the trees
And the sound of rain driven side-ways.
My smile driven corner-to-corner as candles
Shed bright luminescence over faint glows
As the flesh of our Valentine's kiss exposed. 02/14/2010 Posted on 02/14/2010 Copyright © 2025 Michael Defries
