like meteorites by Jared FladelandIn a bubble
eyes closed listening
to the thump of an earth
shake split,
we are melting into the ravine
heading into the ocean spleen.
where salt will lick our wounds
make us wince
and leave us to dance atop
crashing atop mint green waves
into rock knifed cliffs.
we do not mind as we
lift towards heaven
to join the clouds in their
stroll across blue
skies to wait our lives
before we fall to earth
like meteorites. 02/12/2010 Posted on 02/12/2010 Copyright © 2025 Jared Fladeland
