Vicious

by V. Blake

i wanna be the wind in an F-fuckin'-5 karma tornado.
i wanna know what it's like to smash a burning Ford pickup
through the second story window of some Victorian mansion
like a goddamn molotov cocktail of twisted metal and retribution.
i wanna hear the life bled out of a guilty conscience
along needles forged beneath the pressure of their own self-interest
and shaped to the contours of every last facet of its ill-gotten empire.

i want better men than myself to sit back and enjoy the whole show
and remember beyond blurring these miracles of vengeance,
until the awe that consumes them is the epicenter of an earthquake
that reduces any beliefs regarding the mislabeled blind eyes of justice
to a pile of dogmatic refuse at the gangrenous feet of misfortune,
and when any testaments to the contrary have been exiled from memory,
i will wander into a paradox and disappear forever.

I suppose a Poem-A-Day challenge would make one feel like this but this is exactly what the title says. I feel the bite marks in my brain.

Bite marks on the brain would certainly be accurate. Really good stuff.

There is great strength in you, Jedi poet, but do not give in to the Dark Side of the Force!!

Hmm...I can taste your anger...It has several strong flavors indeed. Foremost of which is spite I think ;)

I was just on my soap box ranting about taxes and lesser wages and your poem fed my disgruntled misfourtunes, WOW!!!!!great word choices and feverish anger. smh
