balancing [2-02-2010]

by Ava Blu

at 7:30am, i am awake and ready to face the walls of the day;
i am opening the window i am breathing in the wet branches
and i return to believing in myself for one more day.

I think you can still turn it around. Your work has always suggested a remarkable ability to do that. Great, beautiful image here.

Thank God you didn't pull the trigger. You'd be missed so much! And I love "the walls of the day". I push hard on them every day just to get them to open up a little more.

And I think you know that should you start to forget to believe in yourself, there are plenty of people who would hasten to remind you of the solidity of your presence in their lives. Just reload, take aim and fire at will!

I love how you take something that we often overlook and use that as your ammo to want to live another. Who knew branches could influence someone soo much. Beautiful and clever as always.
