here oh win. by Jared Fladelandpositively posted on the dangers of adolescence
the drink is more important than the food,
always hydrate always think ahead to another time
never be stuck in now,
but always pay attention,
the one thing you can never think about
is the past, unless now is over,
and you can analyze what worked and what did not work,
then we can all agree to disagree and fight
because without a little fire,
we can not achieve greatness.
if voodoo dolls are your bags of bones,
dream in tongues and speak to god
about the price of a decent meal
because cajun spices never agree with my stomach
and how can i enchant a lady lover when i do not have
the means to stress the chicken in order to gain some feathers
and turn a person into a golden army.
the pinnacle is never the finished product
it is the struggle to stay alive
when the flames are over head
and there is no more oxygen to be had
and yet here you are, standing and looking
at the face of a creature that cannot be named,
and instead of being worried about death,
all you can think about is what ghastly beast
will you get to face next when you rip this one's skull off
and give it to the gypsy lady down the street? 02/01/2010 Posted on 02/01/2010 Copyright © 2025 Jared Fladeland

| Posted by Sarah Wolf on 02/01/10 at 10:31 AM I really like the first stanza. Also the way the ideas flow into motion is very nice. Great piece. :) |
