One day...

by Oliver Drewman

I hope to be nothing
To find my worries and fear
Reduced to naught
To finally realize
I don't really matter
(To much of anyone except my family)

I am a unique snowflake
Like everyone else
Created
Fall
Pile up
Then...
Slowly disappear

Snowflakes
We give no thought about
(They probably don't think about us either)
I want to live
Then drop down
Pile on insanity
(Because insanity is easy)
Then...
Slowly disappear

Author's Note: Even if we did think about snowflakes and ponder the wonder and gravity of their unique creation, it really doesn't matter

I like the notion of having everything negative reduced to zero, but of course, everything positive would have to go with it. At any rate, I enjoyed your poem, but might I suggest changing "slowly disappear" to simply "melt" ? I'm not sure if this would change or subtract from your intentions, I just think it would help the flow. Either way, keep up the good work. :)

The fact is nothing matters unless we make it matter. Still, this is a good write.
