Step by Me

by Christopher Shin

The symphony plays
the tragedy in my head.
I explode and the world
finally orchestras the
very happiness in my
own soul.

I smile as you see
the happiness I feel
when colorless eyes
understands me.

The alpine trees
sway against the rhythm
of me and all that
comes after.

I clap cause it's
embarassing but
finally you get it.

I am the meloncholy
ally that laughs and
kisses the misery.

I am the dancing
fool in the funeral,
but you'll get it.

You'll see it all
when I step out
that door.

As I take my last step,
you'll get your first.

The applause, yes, there is that.
