Forgotten Silk

by Michael Defries

Morning, the way we touched
told me, more-than just you-
missed me; it told me truths
you desired not to expose

Letting me yearn for deep,
in the hazy-waking state,
that makes comfort and the
physical, so warm to touch.

Wanting to return your affection
by sharing your place next to me
spooning in the silk-like-shimmer
my emotional was broken, trust

Laying here, watching you raise
to bathe| it's so early...

...wanting our moment | to last |
this is my quiet desire, but instead,
I awoke, this subtle dream.
