Remembering Making

by Michael Defries

Holding you in my arms
seems empty like air.

This desert wandering
lost on counting grains.

It's the angels singing
that revive my waters.

Forgetting its life but
Remembering making.

succint couplets speak the vastness of your lonliness and the wanderings of the desert. Remembering making, I like the phrase. smh
