Something Sensual by Michael DefriesThe only thing I could think about
Is touching her lips with the whole
Of my being.
When she passed, her body moved
With a grace, in a way that stopped
It and nothing else seemed to matter.
When I looked at her I felt awkward,
Ashamed, that I desperately desired
Her attention to let me know love.
It was purposeful deception play
She smiled, at last, with knowing eyes.
My body shivered with anticipation
She saw me again this time fever
Gripped my temperature internal
Racing beats push adrenaline around.
Mind course stopping, only action.
I played the cool, softly I held her arm
For a second. Trembling, “I am taken,
With your smile and beauty.”
She paused. . . took it in (heavy breathe),
Snapped to, after sigh. . . ahh. . .
She moved in close, I thought a slap
Pressed closer and leaned in to my
Lips and said on an exhale, “Take me”
Her heart fluttered like a hummingbird
Racing she felt the euphoric wave
Move from her lips down to ground.
It was soft and slow like passion
Moving her to feel swept
She pressed in to him
She held him now, this time touching
Behind his neck and moved to his ear
She whispered, “I need you, I love you.”
“I have always, since the first glance.”
Hair tingling now, emotions flooding
He smiled and stared into her deep.
Giving her the knowing of love she
Wanted this held in feeling to explore
Outside on his lips, and feel his being. 05/30/2009 Posted on 01/24/2010 Copyright © 2024 Michael Defries
