Angel In Stilettos

by Terry Olynik

Had I known angels
Hid silver daggers
Beneath their wings,
I would surely
Have worn body armour
To our appointed assignation.

As the last spurt
Of overheated blood
Drains lazily from me,
I can only hope
Your pubic bone tingle
Reawakens your conscience.

Strong stuff, especially in that first stanza.

I agree with Gabriel. I got worked up with the imagery. Was that your purpose? Or let us down softly in the second stanza? I really liked "blood Drains lazily". I still want to see some stilettos...

Strong imagery indeed. A fine write.
