A nightingale
Forgets to fly...

Is but a bird
Forgets...its purpose is to fly.

It remembers songs of early lore when
It flew beyond foreign, amidst such limits
Set in the pale opalescence of liquid light.

This nightingale knows places untouched
by human eyes.

Its physical stature meets the elements
Spreading angelic wings over vertigo

A being - greater than – itself
A bird
Trapped, by being a bird.

Purpose…
Is to fly, high high

Up,
And up and high.

But caged

It dies.
