I don't think I was ever gonna sleep.
I was born awake and stayed awake.
I even drank coffee at 3 years old.
It's not that I don't like sleep, I do!

It's that my mind stirs, over match sticks
I lay down then Bam! and idea appears, so
back-to-work I write, jot them down quick.

My proverbial pen comes in the form of
Waiting for the arrival of such greats!
Sitting here falling asleep on my chair.

There was even a time when I sat in my car
waiting for 6 AM to roll like the MC D's.
In some cultures sunrise is considered the
Next day. So I waited for whichever's first.

One time, I clubbed it all night, slept 2
Hours-a-day went to work the entire weekend.
After that, I spent a week hibernating, my
family thought I was dead. Actually, I did
this hibernation thing twice. It was good.

In all actuality...Insomnia started in grade
school a product of my Nintendo past. Darn!
I'm still up so you must be too. Great!
Go To Sleep! It's what I keep repeating.
