The Long Walk Alone into Town by Christopher ShinI wander out with
sullen eyes.
I watch the world,
and the love it
gives.
The love that brings
such emotions,
and I mumble as
I fumble.
The dread sinks in,
and I realize that
the stars are aligned.
All the omens point
the tragic north.
As I face the south.
Loveless and misshapen
I fall forward as
time is the only constant.
I know that age
will come and isolation
is the only answers
to the questions
in my mind. 01/18/2010 Posted on 01/19/2010 Copyright © 2024 Christopher Shin

Posted by Michael Smith on 01/19/10 at 02:31 AM I'm glad you wrote this, Chris, as I don't think I could have done this feeling, this awareness, the justice that it deserves. You've done very well and I appreciate it. The funny bit is, some people don't feel like this at all, in that they never remember what their purpose is or evaluate where they currently stand in regards to their ultimate goal. |
