Perfect Bliss

by Michael Defries

As awakening occurs the Buddha states
Reclaim easy winter and thaw the mind.

Deep sleeps and trying to wake up will seem like
Lotus petals guided by the sway of their weightless-
Ness as gravity collides with their absolute nature.

Deep lotus ponds will reawaken reality from dream-like puddles
Forging intuition with realization.

Flowing like waterfalls of perfect wisdom reflecting
Liquid crystal moments adjust to meet the Dharma.

Fallen - get-up walk again - through this woven fabric
Delicate like the silks of mustard and radish robes,

We walk toward enlightenment without raising an eyebrow
As we glide across billowing clouds of slipstream consciousness.

At least your insomnia pays off with poems like this. Great work, Michael.

Ahhh now see -this, this is wonderful Michael. You kind of dance along it, feeling it move through you and around you as you read and speak it in your mind and the magic of the East envelops you...beautiful!

This conjures up an ether within which I do not know what is real and what is not! Glorious.
