Soliloquy Of Love

by Michael Defries

I feel you all the time
I think about you
In my mind
I inhale you

As you
Are in my breath.
She emerges in
My consciousness

I cannot resist
This emotion
These compulsions
Of love and passion,

I feel it so hard
Like a hammer
Fast and Powerful
Crushing all judgment.

I am immobilized
By this hunger (for you)

My brain pauses,
My impulses come
Alive...then
Zap!

Like lightening
Quickening
Me to your heart
To your being

Like roses
In the prairie field.
Springtime
Comes now

The taste,
Freshness
In the air from
Waters nearby.

I emerge unknown,
Close to you
But am blind by desire
To know you...

Closer
Than god,
Than anything
I can imagine.

One day my heart
Will come open
With incredible
Unfolding events

Of memories
Being made
By my mind.

Can't I see you
One more time
In my heart?

I feel you at once
Because once
I was only yours
To find no other.

Must you search
Any further this
Time?

Only to experience
Distance
Must bring us closer
In the end.

I find myself repeating
You see...
I must indulge
Your life into my sea.

A safe haven hideaway
As delicate as orchids
So full and vibrant

While life orchestrates
Symphonic order
Calling me

To stay with...
Soothing sounds.

The way
You put your hands
On me,

I would rather
You lay
Your head
On my chest.

All I want is your
Solitude
So no second glances
Occur.

Go on the sacred walk
With me
So that we may have
Secret talks (in the)

Hidden garden.
Holding hands...
While the sunrise
Meadow melts away.

Feel alive,
So alive!
As your hand
Grazes mine...

The way we make
Love, when we look
Into each others
Eyes, and smile

Connecting
With emotion,
Letting it go
Toward that unknown...

As a silent observer
Whose thoughts
Are heard (as)
Determinations are made.

I fall in love
With all woman
Cause your
Free spirit

Has called me
To stay.
I was going
but something...

In my heart
Said
Be
Alive.
