In-Love With Falling

by Michael Defries

We fell so fast, so hard
To feel its possession, its precise command
We shattered into a thousand pieces of glass.

Moving us so fast, hands touching all of our being
Allowing our momentum to collide.
Your smile, your smell, your kiss, brings me down.

My desire so primal, my urge so sensual,
Searching, exploring your abode - every grain - every ring
From the core of tree roots, down to my shaking knees.

It all happened so fast - this love - fresh like spring rain
Like a precious spring, feeding its life-blood through
As the fire inside my belly commands passion.

Eats of wilderness like moss consumes forests and planes
Eternity pauses in our no moment-of-existence
Each of all the singular moments - all are eternity -

Bestowing upon us time to take in, to relish
So we remember that we have abandoned all
As our nature is no different like gravity itself.
