Filling a need
Two waves so distant
Reaching out for shore

Tidal forces
Bring us close
Yet the ocean keeps us

At a distance
Water challenges fervor
Purpose disguised

Intentions
Keep us
Drawing back... and forth

Like songs of The Sea
Pulling… pushing…
Swaying… rocking…

Horizon draws near
As land approaches
Giving us hope

Yet unknown trials
Occur on this
Port of spontaneity

Discovery
Our soul
Never to lose it again

Emptiness
Poured
Into a thousand vessels

Always searching
Reaching only
Poseidon’s will.
