You - Me = U / S

by Jersey D Gibson

Walk away... if you can;
Take one step at a time.
Walk away... if you dare;
please don't look back at me.
Walk away... with head held high;
let your lies walk out with you.
Walk away... away from me;
every step you take is a wish granted...

Now don't look back as I crumble,
I'm shattered, I'm hurt, but I'm fine.
Don't look back as I'm pulled under,
in my grief there is a lifeline.

Walked away... on your own;
what more can you ask of me?
Walked away... by yourself;
what more can you say to me?
I walked away... staggering;
there's no doctor for what you've done.
You walked away... as fast as you can;
the further you get, the better I feel...

Don't look closely as I smile,
behind my teeth is a scream that's there.
No don't look back as I try to deal,
burnt bridges cannot be repaired.

Walk away... walk out on me;
walk yourself out with your life.
Walk away... walk out strongly;
don't you dare ask me a single thing.
You walked away... without me;
what did you expect for this to be?
You walked away... what about me;
a spinning spiral uncontrollably...

Don't dare ask questions as I pass,
the feeling's gone and so's my patience.
Don't reflect on what we had,
you smile too widely when you say you're sad.

Wow. This is amazing. You express the in turmoil and fight within yourself so well. I think a lot of people are afraid to do this, it's either be strong, or wollow, but you aren't afraid to admit both.
